Ok... so we won't be running, but we will be participating again this year. We will be walking and pushing the stroller along with the other Hooray for Boobies team members. (I mean we all like boobies don't we?)
After my mom was diagnosed with breast cancer a few years ago, it really helped me realize this is not just about fundraising but showing support, solidarity and bringing people together to raise awareness and have fun!
Last year was one of the few years we didn't participate, as Hedgehog had just gotten out of the NICU.
If you aren't participating, why not come down cheer people on, or sponsor a runner. As a family who has lived through this, the run does make a difference. I consider it an investment in my future.
