Busy

We have been busy.

There has been a spurt of needing to get things in order and start to deal with the house.

The pink wall has been fully eliminated. I can't tell you how exciting this is. It was awful. Dusty rose. Painting it "mayonnaise" has even made the pine tongue & grove panelling easier to handle.

Kitchen cupboards: reorganized! It is making the kitchen much more livable and us feeling much less desperate to add more shelves and or furniture immediately to provide more kitchen storage. Still no real pantry, but that can wait. For now.

A few pieces of art work have been hung. It is proving to be quite a challenge. This house is different from the condo. More open. Larger expanses of wall. So much of our loved artwork just doesn't fit. Some things will need new frames. For now, I am hanging what works. There is still so, so much more wrapped in brown paper.

We have cleaned, and sorted the linen cupboard. It no longer explodes every time I look for something.

A box or two may have even been unpacked. The next big box to tackle requires un-toddler proofing the living room units to put china away. Next weekend off!

so no real, new year's resolution. More a reality of getting going on what is driving us nuts!
